Summer Program
The 2010 Wasatch Academy Summer Session prepares students academically and socially for the traditional school year. The six-week session allows students the opportunity to accelerate their education, participate in extensive recreational activities, and transition to our boarding experience. Students begin classes at 9 a.m. with three academic classes. Recreation begins at 3 p.m. and continues until dinner. We offer evening study hall in the dorms or structured study hall with a faculty member.The 2010 Summer Session begins on June 27 and concludes on August 7. Students who complete the six week session receive a $2,000 credit towards enrollment in the 2010-2011 academic year.
Academics: Students may earn up to two credits toward high school graduation. Half a credit is offered in each of the following: Mathematics, English, Spanish, History, SAT Preparation, TOEFL Preparation, and Physical Education.
ESL Program: Summer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes offered include Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking for English credit toward high school graduation. Wasatch Academy ESL levels include courses for Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced learners.
